Some people believe that funerals are as much for the living as they are for the dead. That they’re an opportunity for the deceased’s surviving relatives and friends to come together to remember, grieve, and support one another.
When someone you care about dies you want to pay your respects. If the individual who has passed away is from a large family, or was a well liked and connected member of the community this could mean a packed house during the service. While some funeral homes make accommodations by adding folding chairs, or seating some attendees in an adjacent room, it’s nicer when everyone can sit comfortably together.
Chapel Ridge Funeral Home and Cremation Centre in Markham understands this need, and that is why in 2013, when they renovated their space, they built Ontario’s largest funeral chapel in their facility. By having everyone seated in one room no one will feel left out or unsupported. Everyone can collectively grieve while sitting amongst loved ones.
In addition to the larger chapel, Chapel Ridge Funeral Home has a large lot with ample parking for all guests. When you’re attending a funeral the last thing you want to have to do is circle the block looking for street parking. With 120 spaces available, your loved ones should have no trouble finding a spot.
If you’re having a smaller, more intimate service or memorial, Chapel Ridge Funeral Home has smaller rooms as well that are just as lovely as the main chapel. You can also host your service offsite – with Funeral Directors assisting you with whatever you may need. They can also help to arrange burials and cremations.
Chapel Ridge Funeral Home and Cremation Centre is located at 8911 Woodbine Road in Markham, but serves clients from all across the York Region and GTA.
